Shackleton House is a small friendly, multi- cultural nursing home located in Southall, West London. The home is a modern multi- purpose building accommodating 22 residents over the age of 20 providing 24 hour nursing care for resident s. Shackleton is located with excellent transport links; along with access to shopping, restaurants, a local theatre, libraries and places of worship.

The home’s multicultural setting welcomes residents from all walks of life. We endeavour to provide a friendly, warm atmosphere where our residents are respected and valued by recognising the importance of each resident’s quality of life. The home provides a holistic approach to each residents care, psychological, environmental and spiritual needs.

Shackleton Nursing specialises in nursing care for young physically disabled and elderly frail. The home is managed by an experience manager whom supervises the day to day running of the home; ensuring each resident’s social, physical, medical, psychological and environmental needs are met.


The home operates a 24 hour service with registered nurses and skilled carers through out the day and night. Shackleton Nursing provides for a wide spectrum of cultural backgrounds. Our staff are conversant in the appropriate languages which reflect the homes commitment to cultural understanding.


Shackleton Nursing is designed to provide and safe and secure environment. All bedrooms include 24 hour nurse call system, satellite/ digital TV, wash hand basins, Wi-Fi, thermostatically controlled with lift access over 3 floors. Residents are welcome to bring in personal belongings to help their stay with u

tay with us more comfortable.

We encourage resident’s families and friends to be a part of their loved ones stay at the home. The home provides a large lounge area with access to a small library, TV, activity area leading on to a small conservatory and secure garden area.


Shackleton Nursing and its staff endevour to provide a warm welcome to all residents and visiotrs. The home's visiting times are from 11.30 to 19.30.




The home has a trained activities coordinator working throughout the week. Activities include group and individual based interests and hobbies. At the home arranges outing to places of worship and places of interest during the summer.The home celebrates all festivals and the chefs provides special meals


which are custom to each celebration thus providing Asian, European along with catering for special diets. Our qualified chef has been trained to manage and provided nutritious meals in line with residents dietary needs and cultural preferences.Our chef pays careful attention to the preparation and presentation of food. We believe food is an important element in each residents life. Relatives and friends are welcome to partake of meals in the dinning room or in the privacy of residents rooms.


The home provides a large dinning lounge area on the second floor, inviting residents for meals and activities throughout the day. In addition to this the home also provides a large conservatory with access to small appliances to encourage residents and visitors to help themselves to teas and coffees througho

s throughout the day. The lounge also holds a small library, DVD and CD collection. The home provide an allocated smoking area and small garden for those lovely summer days and signature barbeque.
